Voicemail

Voicemail is your digital answering machine, but unlike a normal answering machine you can listen to your messages from almost anywhere - not only from your landline but also from your mobile phone, from the internet and even by email.

Every extension comes with its own voicemail box. You can record your own personal greeting message, use the pre-programmed one that we provide, or even have a message professionally recorded by one of our Voice Artists.

Each voicemail message will also be automatically converted into a sound file, attached to an email and sent to you. You can then listen to it from your PC from anywhere. Because it is a digital recording you can even save it on your PC or email it to someone else.

For help configuring your voicemail, try our voicemail support page.

Group voicemail

The call group feature allows you to combine some of your extensions so that they ring together when called. This is useful if your business is organised into departments or if some of your people wish to work from home as well as the office (no need to set diverts or call different numbers.

The Group Voicemail feature allows each call group to have access to its own voicemail box. For instance, you may want all your sales team to be able to access a single sales voicemail box and support to access another; and so on.

Accessing your voicemail

You can access your voicemail for free by dialing 1571 from your Voipfone phone, or by calling 0843 1 760 760 from any UK phone. If you're overseas just dial the international version, +44 843 1 760 760. If you are not calling from your Voipfone phone, you will be asked for your Voipfone account number (the 30xxxxxx one) and your six digit phone password.

Business users with our Cloud PBX service will have multiple voicemail boxes - one main account mailbox plus one for each extension. If you are using call groups, and have group voicemail enabled, you will also have one mailbox for each group.

Any numbers you have set to ring the 'Master Group' will go to the main account voicemail if you're unavailable - you can check those messages by calling 1572 from any phone on your PBX. Each extension also has its own voicemail, reachable via 1571 from that relevant extension.

To listen to group voicemail messages, dial 1573 from your Voipfone phone, or 0843 176 1573 (+44 843 176 1573 from overseas) from any other phone. You will be asked for the group number and the pin code.
