Keep your number when you move to Voipfone

We can transfer (port) almost any landline number onto our service, including BT, Sky, TalkTalk and Virgin Media, as well as numbers from other VoIP providers.

If you have your broadband supplied over your phone line (ADSL or Fibre-to-the-Cabinet), this might be cancelled if you move your number. You should upgrade to full-fibre broadband before asking us to move your number.

If full-fibre broadband is unavailable in your area, you may still be able to have broadband over a copper line but without phone service, which is known as SoGEA (Single Order Generic Ethernet Access). Call us on 0345 868 5555, and we will guide you through the options available to you.

I already have a Voipfone account

Log into your Control Panel and navigate to the Porting Requests section under Services, Inbound Numbers.

Click on the "Move my numbers to Voipfone" button to begin a new porting request.

You will need to upload a copy of your telephone bill showing your name, address and the telephone number (so we have proof it belongs to you).

Please note: Take care to complete the forms fully and accurately; the porting process for landline numbers is unfortunately very fussy, and the losing provider will reject your port if it contains errors. If you don't have a PDF Bill, you could take a screenshot of an online account showing the number. Paper bills could be scanned or photographed. We can accept the file formats PDF, JPG, JPEG, PNG and GIF.

I do not have a Voipfone account

Sign up for a new account here. During the onboarding process, you will be asked if you want to bring your number with you to Voipfone.

Once your account is created, you will receive an email with instructions on how to complete your porting request in your customer Control Panel.

How much does it cost?

There are no charges to move your number to Voipfone.

You can move your number to your Voipfone plan - e.g. Voipfone at Home 100 - and it will become the number included in the plan price.

How long will it take?

Most single number ports take between 7-14 days to complete – but it can be longer depending on the type of line you have. There is no loss of service during this period.
