TAPI stands for Telephone Applications Programming Interface and is a small piece of software (a driver) that links the Voipfone service to other software that you may have on your PC such as Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express and some CRM packages.
With the TAPI installed you can click on the name of the person you want to call in your Address Book or Contacts Directory and you will be connected to that telephone number, no more dialling!
If you have ever installed a Voipfone TAPI before, please uninstall it first.
TAPI for 32 Bit Operating System TAPI for 64 Bit Operating System
If you are unsure which to pick, choose the 32 bit and the installation process will tell you if you're wrong.
Please note: To use the TAPI dialler from Office 2013 or Office 365 you must first disable Microsoft Lync. This can only be done by removing the following key from the Windows registry HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\IM Providers\DefaultImApp.
Warning: Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly by using Registry Editor or by using another method. These problems might require that you reinstall the operating system. Modify the registry at your own risk.
